So, when I first talk to people about what I’m doing for work now, one of the first questions is “So, what are you doing for work now?” followed soon after by “where does the name novemnine come from?”

So in an effort to move conversations on nice and quickly here is the story.

I have always wanted to work for myself. I’ve worked with some great people and I know some inspiring business owners who have made great successes out of sheer hard work and dedication.

I didn’t just want to register as self-employed and do the odd project here and there, I wanted to build a Brand. After all Branding is one of my favourite things and one of the things I offer as part of my business.

So I sat with my good friend Jai (Jaijo Ltd) and we ‘spit-balled’ a few ideas and eventually came up with novemnine.

It started out with things like puns and words we liked. I always liked THUG Marketing – it portrays confidence and no-nonsense approach, but it also has negative connotations, so that was scrapped. The number nine kept coming up. It’s the number I’ve worn on the football pitch for most of my career and seems to be lucky for me.
